We understand that BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} has asked you to carry out certain tests with Autovacs fitted with Aluminium Heads instead of brass, but that before you can do this you wish to have them brought up to date.

They have accordingly been returned to the manufacturers to have this work carried out.

We hope that immediately on receipt of same, immediately after the holidays everything possible will be done to carry out the test.

There is a difference in price of 4/- per autovac between those fitted with Aluminium and Brass Heads, which of course represents a considerable saving per chassis.

We will advise you immediately we receive the Autovacs from the makers.

Roy.{Sir Henry Royce}
