Car handed to HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} 23.11.36. CHASSIS 1. Rear axle pinion bearing Ex.23493. Solid pinion nose Ex.15037. 2. Semi-isolated change speed. N.Sch.4806 modified to N.Sch.4900 where it applies. 3. Wheel drivers N.Sch.4935 Scheme 2. Driver in S/ZNX. No D.O. details. Hub in S/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Ex.25105/6. Driver Ex.25109 - S/ZNX. 4. Oil seals supplied by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} 5. Girling brakes. Brakes are at present on 1.B.1V.) Rear brakes as they stand but to be relined with )A week to Ferodo B.2. to be supplied by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} )complete Front brakes to be rebuilt on a new front axle, )the not yet arrived, and to be re-lined with B.2. )machining. X shaft behind servo to RR.Sch.1006. Sent after car. Aluminium drums, with liners to be decided by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} 6. Ex.23741 clutch case unless we find it whistles on 1.B.1V. - castings to be machined. 7. N.Sch.4776 pedals complete. Two or three sets already on Expl. cars. 8. Bumper bar with rubber packing to secure weights in dash pots, already in the Works but should be modified to incorporate strengthened studs to FB.2583/4/5. 9. Servo removed from 6.B.1V. but with new pair of 45° floating cams to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1631, brake pedal stop on servo levers, and non-squeak VM.30 linings supplied by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} Cams will have to be detailed and made, so will follow the car. All other parts existing. continued. | ||
