X 1/60 To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}3/JH.14.3.36. Sound Insulation. Further to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}1/KW.13.3.36. we would add that the felt used for the mats in the case of 25 HP. Bentley, and Ph. lll cars is obtainable from J.R. Holbrook & Sons, Grosvenor Road, Coventry, and is made by the Coventry Felt Co. The material is 72" V5 Rubberised felt. It should be clearly understood that the amount of material as recommended is the minimum possible. A much greater degree of silence will be obtained if all the body panelling including the rear boot, is lined with felt or Seapak material. This of course adds greatly to weight and cost and may be left to the discretion of the coachbuilders. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/F.{Mr Friese} Dodd. | ||
