Dear Sirs,

DC-42 CARBURETTER WITH THICK STRANGLER FLAP

We beg to refer you to our letter of 28th July 1938 upon the above subject.

We do not appear to have had your approval to the strangler flap fitted in that carburetter, although we already had received your approval of the thick strangler flap itself.

In view of the fact that we have had a call from Messrs. Rolls-Royce for further deliveries of carburetters, we are proceeding to fit the thick strangler flap with the poppet valve arranged to act in the direction to open on the occasion of a blow back, and we trust that we are doing correctly by following this procedure.

However, we should appreciate a letter from you clearing up the point.

Yours faithfully,
THE ZENITH CARBURETTER CO. LTD.
