has been increased and increased in weight which would
increase its transverse moment of inertia. The angle
of the king pin has also been altered very slightly.

We are now carrying out investigations to see
whether this had got any bearing on these results.

The behaviour of the present axle when fitted
with front brake parts is of an altogether different order
from the wobble with the brakes removed. The amplitude
of the wobble is much greater and it can be brought up
with the slightest provocation occurring at speeds about
50 m.p.h. and building up on the overrun. This is the
axle we demonstrated at W.W.
