X4553 To By: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/KW.12.11.34. Bentley Ground Clearance. We showed BY/SS{S. Smith} that the flange retaining the cut-out and the clips holding the lagging on the exhaust system reduce the ground clearance of the Bentley by about 1/2" at the place in the car where this is most important. We shall be glad to know what you can do to overcome this trouble. In the case of Mr. Thompson, he does not require a cut-out so that if this can be left off it will be one way of increasing his ground clearance. MR. Thompson's chassis No. is B-10-DG.
