R.R. 493A (40 H) (SL 42 12-7-23). J.H., D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. Expl. No. REF:HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/ACL/28.3.24. Re. Early ignition required with EAC. Engines. -Standard system- With a large percentage of inert gas in the charge we should expect to have to give earlier ignition. The heating effect of the residual exhaust has probably an important influence on pre-ignition because with the single exhaust pipes to each port pre-ignition was not so marked as with standard system.
