Std To. BT {Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer} /RS. {Sir Henry Royce's Secretary} c. Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 1280 Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 3/E.29.8.38. RE. FRONT APRON. - B.III. & B.50. Attached herewith is FD. {Frank Dodd - Bodies} 255. shewing a design of apron suitable for use with the improved design of Radiator Shell, FD. {Frank Dodd - Bodies} 249. and FD. {Frank Dodd - Bodies} 250. for B.50. and B.III. respectively. The design follows that on PD.180. and fitted to 8-B-V. {VIENNA} and 1-B-50, and is only altered to suit the radiator of reduced facial slope. We suggest that ultimately this apron should be produced as part of the body pressing contract for B.50. and that supplies can be sold to Park Ward for the standardised B.III. Saloons, and to any coachbuilder who may be producing custom built bodies for B.III. Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
