WST X6022. To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Bailey - Chief Engineer} C/Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} Re Instrument Board Clocks. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}36/Ez29.9.31 RECEIVED 30 SEP 30 Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.4/AD28.9.31 the Boyce electric clock fitted to 58-GN has only gone wrong on one occasion during the several months that I have had it in use. I took it back to W, and it wasseen to there. It keeps very good time. The only objection - if it can be called an objection - is that it makes an occasional fairly loud win click. The freedom from the necessity of winding is certainly a boon. Unless you hear from R.{Sir Henry Royce} to the contrary I XXXXXX like the idea of putting at least two dozen through on production in order to obtain a general opinion of them and, if this is done, I think it would be a good idea to try to get as many as we could on cars being used in the Company provided | ||
