-4- Contd. The contact breaker arms are insulated, and the fixed points earthed. One pair of points is found in fairly good condition and the other pair pitted and oxidised. Both ignitions are fed through one switch, i.e. they are not independently workable from the driving seat. The fixed contact point screw support does not seem to be flexible enough, as confirmed by the condition of the points. The condensers are neatly housed inside the distributor below each pair of points. The coils are of the armoured type with the secondary wound inside and the primary outside. The primary has a resistance of only 1 ohm. No ballast resistance. LIGHTING. The usual head, side and tail lamps are provided, also cigar lighter on extensible flex, replaceable by inspection lamp when desired. Lighting switch is located at base of steering column and operated at the top. The instruments are grouped and illuminated. There is a triple rear lamp incorporating - Red light for normal tail lighting. Orange light brake signal operated by brake and independent of main lighting switches. White light fed from side lamp circuit via switch mounted on battery box which is operated by a chain when the reverse gear is engaged. EFC. | ||
