Of course, the public have to be won over, but since a smaller wheel and fatter tyre increases the apparent length of the car, I don't think we should get much opposition from that quarter.

The wire wheel makers support the movement because they can build a stronger wheel for lateral blows.

We should greatly appreciate your criticisms on whether you consider the scheme likely to materialise. We, of course, realise that we may be discussing developements which will not be in the hands of the users for one or two years.

We feel that there will be a continual demand for lower and lower tyre pressures. We are at the present time running all our own cars at 5 lbs. less tyre pressure than the minimum you recommend.

The point raised by our American friends as regards Brake Jaggers, is a very important one.
