This is to confirm our discussion with Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Salt on the above subject, at which the following tests were proposed as being likely to provide some useful information on which to base present and future designs. 1. Tests comparing the new 20/25 down draught induction system with hot spot exhaust heating, and with controlled exhaust heating using the Buick control valve, the tests to include a comparison of distribution, power and jacket temperatures at tickover and full throttle at various speeds. 2. The effect on distribution and power of a straight 'T' connection between the branches and manifolds compared with the existing bends. 3. Measuring of compression pressures on a four port head to compare the single with the twin ports, with and without an induction pipe. 4. Measuring of compression pressures in each cylinder with various induction systems. 5. Tests of the standard Bentley induction system with a large capacity mixing chamber pipe to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 2080. E/PSN. | ||
