RE FAILURE OF STEERING GEAR ALUMINIUM BOXES. With further reference to my memo EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}27/F24.3.21, I have handed to Mr. Mattinson today a sample of a broken box as requested by you. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has pointed out in his memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}12/LC31.3.21 that he considers this failure very serious, and suggests that we should put the matter before R.{Sir Henry Royce} giving him the number of failures and sending him a sample of a broken box. Can you please arrange to do this, or having made your examination of the matter please let me have your comments so that I can forward on to Mr. Royce, unless you think such is not desirable. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} Hss [Stamp: RECEIVED APR 7 1921] | ||
