SALES DIRECTOR'S OFFICE.

(Dict:1st).

Messrs.Rolls Royce Ld,
DERBY.

Attention of Mr.H.Royce.

Dear Sirs,

Further in reference to the Stem Wind Watch.
The writer has been following up the matter of the new superior design with Mr.Dorer and we hope to let you have definite news in regard to our sample shortly after the holiday.

Meantime, you will appreciate that the question of manufacture of this new design is necessarily a tedious business on account of the necessity for conducting careful time-keeping tests over a period.

When discussing this matter with Mr.West during his recent visit, the latter mentioned that in the event of our being able to offer the Empire Electric Watch at a lower figure you would probably decide in favour of the latter. May we explain in this connection that the "Empire" is definitely more costly than the Stem Wind Watch and we are afraid it would not be policy to cheapen this design. As, however, the introduction of the better quality Stem Wind Watch will of necessity mean an increased price, might we respectfully suggest that you consider standardisation of the Empire Clock on all your models?

Could you get a revised price for the Electric Clock if we standardised it on "20/25" as well as 40/50 The quantities would be trebled. WGF.
