G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Dept. F.{Mr Friese} Dept. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Dept. D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Dept. C. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C. RHO X3806 BY3/G.26.10.27. EAC.14. REAR AXLE. In looking over the N. Schemes for the above showing the modified axle with the side by side brake drums, I notice that the drawing includes Bijur lubrication. This may lead to confusion, and should be dealt with as follows :- a/- We should detail the axle in the first place without the Bijur scheme, but suitable for Enots. b/- We should then issue the necessary details to apply the Bijur lubrication to the axle. c/- We should then see whether the scheme shown for EAC.14 axle can be applied to the present standard as a part of the Bijur lubrication experiment. Other Departments should note with the first chassis that we should generally do as above, issue instructions in the first place for EAC.14 without Centralised lubrication, and then where other schemes have been developed apply the Centralised lubrication.
