Improving headlamp light spread by addressing blind zones and proposing experimental bulbs with extended filaments.

We should, however, like more spread of light as there is a noticeable blind zone on either side of the main driving beam, which is particularly noticeable on curves. At these times the road one is making for is more or less in the dark. It therefore seems that if Lucas can be prevailed upon to further improve the lamp it will have to be by producing special bulbs for experimental purposes with extended filaments to give the desired effect, which if satisfactory, would perhaps be standardised.
