With a view to lessen complaints of recurrent cracked glasses in patch instruments on customer's cars we have been trying out a scheme of using a plain glass with the reflectors stuck on. This was fitted to 18.G.IV., and we have not had any sign of the reflectors coming off during the 10,000 miles. We should suggest that this scheme be used in Depots when dealing with cracked glasses.
