9th July, 1938.

J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Howlett, Esq.,
Wellworthy Piston Rings Ltd.,
Lymington,
HANTS:

Dear Mr. Howlett,

In view of your remarks the other day, I have forwarded all the Leyland drawings to Lymington as we do not wish to handle this job when it is clear that you can do it at Wellworthys.

I spoke to Markland on the 'phone this morning, and told him what I was doing. They have been exceedingly slow over the drawings, and I believe that you have only the big-ends now, the main bearing drawings they are finishing next week, and I have told them to send them direct to you.

We understand that Dennis Bros. are in trouble with their centre main bearing. I am arranging for my Representative to visit them early next week, and if Blackith wants to go on the job at the same time, I suggest that he rings up and leaves a message with Grylls on Monday. I shall be in Paris until towards the end of the week.

Yours sincerely,
