E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} C. 3.

With reference to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG5.10.23, we consider that you should build eight experimental E.A.C.3 chassis, to be tested as quickly as possible. Three should be sent to France.

It is unnecessary for one of these to be tested by semi-skilled drivers, the urgency of the tests is so extremely important.

We hope the above arrangement will enable you to complete some rapid tests in the minimum time with the maximum mileage per day, starting at the beginning of November, when we hope to announce the front wheel brakes.

The E.A.C.3 cars need not be tested with armoured car bodies, as I understand they will not be on the road before the 1st November. I am asking C. to arrange to supply you with the necessary bodies for the eight chassis.

B.J.
