X.41814. EXPL. WATFORD EC6 MAGNETOS WITH BETTER LOCATION OF SLEEVE AND LARGER AIR GAP.

81062. This has only better location of sleeve. It was received on 12.5.25 and put on chassis 44-PK on 15.5.25 for seven weeks. It was reported to be no better than the average standard.

82558. This was received on 22.6.25. It has the better location of sleeve and in addition the larger air gap. This appeared to be considerably better on the bench than the average standard and was then put on chassis 44PK (when 81062 was removed). The report of the results on the chassis was disappointing in that it was reported to be only a little better than the average standard.

73970/2. These magnetos have been sent back to the makers for reconditioning and at the same time it has been asked for these to be fitted with the better location of the sleeve and larger air gap. So far they have not been received back.
