OIL LEVEL INDICATOR - PHANTOM III - LeC.5440.

The float arm to the above LeC. involves an expenditure of £30. in press tools, hence the benefit of the design saving of 6/9d. per Chassis will not be felt for the first ninety Chassis, which represents six months Production Output.

In order to avoid this cost, will you please consider altering the float arm as shewn on Wks-332 (attached) so that we may use standard strip material.

The float and arm are the only pieces involved, and if detail drawings could be passed to HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} we could fit the revised scheme on 39 Ex. which is shortly due to leave for 10,000 miles test.
