Issue of instructions and a list of alterations to part lists for production sets.

In order to indicate accurately when instructions were issued, I am attaching a list of Part Lists giving the dates on which instructions were issued for: (a) The fifty urgent sets. (b) The 250 balance of 300 sets. In addition, I am circulating herewith a complete list of alterations made to the Part Lists, and giving the reason, most of these alterations were made early on in the programme. The alterations to the instructions are mostly in F.{Mr Friese} Dept. and the two main changes are: (1) 3069/F.ss.{S. Smith} the modified rear engine suspension issued 22.4.39. (2) 3097/F.ss.{S. Smith} Steering column, necessitated by the fact that we were not able to get the Cellulose Acetate wheel in the time as arranged to be ordered in December 1938.
