X2200 SHEET 6 11 A1-G BORG & BECK SPEC'L FACING BRITISH MADE Borg & Beck Clutch SPECIFICATION TYPE 11 A1-G (UNIT TYPE) For transmitting not over 220 lbs. ft. torque, normal Passenger Car Service 154 lbs. ft. torque, Truck or Bus Service. Clutch release lever ratio 5.5 : 1. Release bearing travel required to release clutch 7/16 in. Min. Wear-in space to be provided in addition to release bearing travel—9/16 in. Recommended release pedal ratio—8 or 10 to 1. *Pressure required at release bearing approximately 350 lbs. (Max. Thrust Springs). Available with following S.A.E. ten spline fittings: 1 1/4, 1 3/8 ins. Can be installed in No. 5 or larger S.A.E. bell housing. Release bearing—Special Carbon Graphite—furnished with clutch. Means of adjustment for wear—Pedal only. See our recommendations on separate sheet. Weight cover assembly (added to flywheel) 22 1/2 lbs. Weight driven-plate (added to transmission shaft) 3 1/2 lbs. Rigid Centre or 4 lbs. Flex Centre. Total weight 26 1/4 lbs. maximum or 26 lbs. NOTES—(a) We recommend that Flywheel Friction Face be of .35/.45 Carbon Steel or alternatively of good quality close-grained Cast Iron. (b) The Standard Clutch is suitable for speeds up to 5,000 R.P.M. *(c) Makes allowance for friction in release mechanism and spring build up.
