To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Nym. c. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.4/MH.{M. Huckerby}7.12.37. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. 049 A 26.G.VI and 27.G.VI CARS RADIATOR MODIFICATIONS. We have already instructed that - (1) 26.G.VI radiator shall have baffle EW.1170 refitted. (2) 27.G.VI shall have filler cap and nozzle to EXS.210 fitted. 27.G.VI matrix unit already has baffle EW.1170 fitted. In view of the fact that 26.G.VI top tank has already been removed from the matrix and replaced twice (the refitting of baffle EW.1170 will make 3 times) we do not think it is fair to run this unit on a 15,000 mile test - will you therefore fit 27.G.VI car's present matrix unit as it stands to 26.G.VI radiator. The matrix unit out of 26.G.VI radiator should have baffle EW.1170 and filler cap and nozzle EXS.210 fitted to it and should then be fitted to 27.G.VI car. | ||
