I have had the French licence renewed by the Nice depot as usual. Total Mileage........ 2,230. Weeks Mileage........ 330. I have tested the drop of the engine by the feeler gauges supplied. The "Near side" gauge is marked ............ .176" This is now.............................. .168" Showing drop of.......................... .008" -- The"Off side" gauge is marked............ .178" This is now.............................. .153" Showing drop of.......................... .025" The clutch coupling is running slightly eccentric, the clearance between the shaft, and case at the top, varies from .014" in the nearest position; to .019".
