HOYT'S WHITEMETAL MAIN.BEARINGS.

Further to our memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}5/G.14.2.39 regarding the above, Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} has inspected the bearings in 8.B.V. after covering approximately 25,000 miles in France and reports that they are in excellent condition.

In view of this, together with a satisfactory test bed endurance these main bearings can be released for production both for the Wraith lll and the Bentley V.{VIENNA} Other than testing the sets submitted to us we have had no dealings with the procedure of manufacturing these bearings. We assume, therefore, that you will give the necessary information to the people concerned for official introduction to production.
