40/50 ETC.

My own experiences confirm that it is not good to have only one ignition governed in a double ignition system, such as we use on 40/50. Naturally it is better to have both governed, but neither is better than only one, if used together, unless the one that had automatic advance was used in the central position.

Therefore, fit as quickly as possible magnetos with automatic advance, and test if battery ignition would be better in intermediate position.

I got detonations at high speeds owing to pocket ignition - i.e. governed battery - getting early at high speeds.

Test relatively increased advance on magneto.
