POSITION OF EXPERIMENTAL GUNS BY NUMBERS.

40 MM. GUNS.

No. 11239 - Assembled as a Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} single shot for Naval development.

No. 11240 - Assembled as a BF. type simplified six round automatic and is at present on test. Later to be converted to aircraft type automatic.

No. 11241 - Aircraft automatic, loaned to B.U.S.M., Leicester, as model for automatic feed installation.

Unnumbered Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} Naval Single Shot Gun in Brass - Agreed that they should be produced.

Unnumbered Type BF. Type Naval 6 Round Automatic feed - It was agreed that this should be assembled from certain components that would not pass production inspection tests. The six round automatic would be transferred to this gun from gun No. 11240.

13.2mm "CF", "V" Type & ST GUNS.

13.2" Gun No.e.4.121 - Incorporates fixed barrel and gas operation of the breech block.

13.2" Gun No.e.1.122 - Being assembled and to be used for experiments.

.5" AA.{D. Abbot-Anderson} Gun No.A.1 - Being manufactured and will incorporate detail improvements on the 13.2mm.

BARRELS FOR .5" MACHINE GUNS.

M.S. stated that the position was as follows:-

6 - .5" Vickers conversion barrels are now being chambered in the experimental department, this being the final operation.

2 - .5" A.A. design barrels are at the B.S.A. Co. for rifle boring and completion of final operations.

17 - .5" R.R. design barrels are at the stage of rough turning prior to drilling.
