Bentley Steel Brake Shoes.

We understand that you have made 3 sets of 12" steel brake shoes to GB.1996 and GB.1997, the front and rear shoes being similar.

Will you please obtain the necessary Ferodo for these in F.B.A. zinc bonded material (GB.1933 & GB.1945). This should be obtained undrilled.

The rivets to be used should be similar to GB.2132, and should rub on the drums. The material of which they should be made is a 70-30 brass, only obtainable from :-

The Bifurcated & Tubular Rivet Co.Ltd.,
Aylesbury,
Bucks.

and the brass should be specified as being that used for Ferodo Ltd.

Two sets of these shoes should be fitted to the first two Bentleys available.

One set of rear shoes only should be handed to me for use on the testing rig.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/A.F.Martindale.
