Bentley / Mr Barrington}2/W30919. RE 20 GALLON PETROL TANK. X.3634 I am afraid it is still an open question if we shall build a 20 gallon Petrol Tank in addition to our existing standard. I am inclined to think that we should not bring in the 20 gallon tank until we have incorporated some of the improvements we have in view such as side filler, petrol gauge, and some device for warning the driver when he reaches his last two gallons. I think therefore we should not do more than supply America with the present standard petrol tank until either we have decided something for our own later standard or the outstanding questions of design for the chassis to be built in America have been decided.
