1677. To Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} (Paris) From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/MJ.17.11.30. With reference to Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}5/Dn/MLB.14.11.30. The only difficulty about registering the car in Hancock's name is that he has already informed the police at Chateauroux that cars he runs down there belong to customers who are touring on the Continent. We therefore propose that the car shall go out in EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}'s name with Hancock and have a covering note saying that Platford has been prevented from starting the tour at the time arranged, but will join the car later. This note, of course, authorizes Hancock to sign all papers on Platford's behalf. Incidentally of course, it is probable that Platford will go out to try the car before it returns. Will you please wire us if you do not consider this arrangement satisfactory for the touring aquit. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
