SpectreCodename for Phantom III - Brake Adjustment.

Herewith are N. Sch's 4198 and 4202 showing a revision of the brake adjusters, with a view to reducing possible sources of torsional deflection between the operating lever and the camshaft. The improvements consist of:-

(1) Increased diameter of the spiral threads, reducing the driving load.

(2) Increased diameter of the adjusting thread, reducing endwise stretching.

(3) Increased diameter of the camshaft, reducing torsional deflection.

We have also substituted needle roller bearings for the plain bearings, to increase efficiency, and reduce the tendency to cross-wind in the case of the front brake unit.
