A.{Mr Adams} Robotham Esq., Park Leys, Duffield, Derbyshire. Dear Bill, I am sending you a copy of the letter which I have addressed to the All Highest in London. I do not know whether it is the sort of stuff which will have the slightest impression on them or not. If you think I have omitted anything, I am quite prepared to follow it up. The steering is the most unpleasant feature - it really is at times very hard work. Are you sure that the experimental India tyres are not in any way responsible? 40 lbs. pressure is an absurd amount in these days, and it doesn't add to the comfort. In spite of what you and everybody else says, my car pinks up to 3500 r.p.m. on a 40% benzol mixture. It still does only 16 m.p.g. when driven slowly. Cannot I have some needles which will cure the pinking and give me the customary 19 m.p.g.? Geoffrey and I are both very alarmed at Neville's disaster. It is exactly the same as mine, to all outward appearances; that is, it was on the back cylinder, and made gas noises. | ||
