X.4284 DELCO-REMY BATTERY IGNITION.

I received yours EFC3/T3.9.25,but before I had time to give consideration to the point raised by you, we received the attached letter from Delco-Remy & Hyatt Ltd.,dated the 4th inst. together with quotation and blue prints Nos.005249 and 002178, therein referred to.

You will note these people have offered a sem-automatic distributor i.e. a distributor having automatic control of the advance and retard in addition to the usual manual control.

I note from yours EFC3/T3.9.25 that you do not actually need automatic control in addition to the usual manual control, unless there may be reasons of a non technical nature for asking for one with automatic control specially. I know of no reasons of a non technical nature for asking for automatic control, therefore, if you still prefer that we apply to Delco-Remy for a revised quotation for distributor without automatic advance, I will ask them to furnish us with that quotation for form of apparatus.

Please return all the attached papers with your reply.
