| X236 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}14/KW. 2nd May, 1934. The Light Production Co.Ltd., 60-66, Rochester Row, Westminster, London, S.W.1. For the attention of Mr. Brookes. Dear Sirs, We attach the drawings we promised to give you the last time you were here. We do not wish to hold up the tests on the Aerolite pistons with alumiliting. Therefore we suggest that you let us have one of the 2 new sets you are providing in RR.53 alloy, with the new grinding form which you were contemplating when you were here, and leave the other one for alumiliting. We may actually have a car starting a test during the next few days and should like to get these pistons on if possible. We are sending you under separate cover the six pistons removed from a car for your inspection. The full dimensions before and after the test are given you with the blue prints. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
