re Ripplet 2.R.2.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Mr. Green and Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} visited Park Wards yesterday to view the complete Ripplet 2.R.2.

The following is a brief report of the meeting.

(1) The appearance of the front wing with headlamps mounted therein was much better than had been anticipated, and it was therefore decided to go ahead and finish the car off with these wings. At the same time the wings, for the head lamps mounted on the cat walk, should be finished so that the car may be used with either type of wing and headlamp.

(2) Both sets of wings to be finished as follows :-

(a) The valance between the wing and the bonnet, both the horizontal and the vertical wing valance, should be made concave as on the drawing.

(b) The junction line at the wing should be lower and the valance should run in to the valance strip as on Cresta.

(c) The wing is to be lowered bodily by ½" and about ¼" to be added to the outside valance measured at the top of the wheel and suitably faded out each side.

(d) Outer valance behind the wheel should be made less lobelike.

(e) The front nose of the wing viewed from the front should be reshaped and cut off less squarely.

(3) The tail of the rear wing should be straightened in order not to clash too severely with the inverse curve at the back of the body rear quarter.
