R.{Sir Henry Royce} R.{Sir Henry Royce} & A 235 (400 T) (S. C. 526. 15-2-16) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 1546. Ioo. for Mr Coverley C to Hives X.2894. - CONTACT BREAKER CONTACTS - TUNGSTEN. Attached to Mr. Coverley's copy of this memo are two Watford Magneto Contact Breakers which we sent away to the L.P.S. Electrical Co., to have fitted with special Tungsten contacts which they were offering us some time ago. Will you kindly have these fitted to a pair of magnetos and run on an Experimental Engine to get an idea of the comparative value of these contacts as compared with the ordinary platinum contacts. The L.P.S. Co. state that they would be prepared to fit these contacts in quantities at 9d. per piece, it would seem therefore, if these turn out reasonably satisfactory, it might be worth our while to send them further contact breakers to fit. EFC. E.GC. Says -- up to Mr Bice's Group 3. | ||
