Dear Inskip,

We are getting on well with the left hand series of chassis. The attached note from our Chief Designer contains one or two queries. We should like to have your views on the comments which he makes even though we may not find it possible to alter the chassis to fall in with your views.

The difficulty is to know what would appeal to the American public because it is European in style, and what they would revolt against as being entirely incompatible with their ideas of comfort. Provided you are prepared to pay for it there is no insuperable difficulty in legislating for the re-design of the body.

The question of accessories has also been raised. I presume you would like to fit an American battery, heater, and radio. If we could have samples of the radio set and the heater, and the dimensions of the battery, we could make sure that we could accommodate these. We can provide defroster ducts.

As a matter of fact, we believe that our standard battery is obtainable in the States. It is an Exide type 6XCKR-11S

With regard to the following items, would you like the English article or some American product:-

Headlamps, horns, centre lamps, stop, tail and reverse light, parking lights, bumpers, front number plate.
