X9480 X9310 We are running the clutch with the driving plate reduced to .1" in thickness. This gives us an advantage when changing gear with the car running. We still get, however, the clutch dragging and when the oil in the gearbox is hot and thin, the clutch will not stop. The dragging effect appears to be due to the clutch not floating sufficiently freely on the ball bearings or else the drag of the oil in the bearings and on the shafts. We have confirmed that these parts are fitted freely. When the gearbox oil is cold, the clutch stops quickly. We have tried, temporarily, a clutch brake and find that it requires very little pressure to stop the clutch. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
