X550 To Sft.{Mr Swift} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}28/KW.8.10.36. We had Paris on the 'phone to-day, pointing out that the new steering column which they have just received for GTL-80 in Paris - 'C' type - could not be delivered to the customer because the cam was slack in the middle and tight on the two locks. The car is to sail for America in a week's time, and in view of the impossibility of getting new parts to them from Derby in time, we agreed that they should remove the column from GRM-25 temporarily, and fit it to GTL-80. In the meantime we recommend that you despatch a new hour-glass cam to them to enable them to overcome their difficulties. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
