X8992 LE. CANADEL. 17. 4. 26. MR. HIVES. FROM. DODD.. 7.E.X. running very. well. Has tendency to wobble. at 'high' speeds now. 70-73 MPH ETC. have not been able to get up higher speed owing to conditions front tyre treads both flat. With regard to hydraulic. shock dampers I have had a go at fitting them, but cannot get them on in the position required, owing to the front wing stay it would require a piece cutting out of this. If we moved forward to just clear; the front holes foul the radiator support bracket, which comes at right angles to the frame. Also if the wing stay was clear we should have half the new hole through the angle piece? of the radiator support bracket! If we could. utilize the two old front bolt holes it would greatly simplify the change over, and would clear wing stay. MR-R.{Sir Henry Royce} leaves. here on the 28th by.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} train, so that I should arrive at Dover on the 3rd of May. Will you please let me have the English license for. 7.E.X. Or, if it has not been taken out for. the first Quarter, perhaps you could arrange for it being sent to the R.A.C at Dover in time for. me landing. Yours. faithfully F.{Mr Friese} Dodd. | ||
