BRAKE SIDE STRAPS.

We note upon examining some of the narrowest brake shoes in the works, such as the 20 HP. hand brake, that the rivet heads are of such a size that the lining is liable to break through at the edges opposite the rivets.

We suggest that a rivet with a somewhat smaller head might be used for these narrow shoes.
