To EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} 4247 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/LG6.10.25. 20 HP. GEARBOX. 15310 The question of ventilation of the 20 HP. gearbox was gone into on experimental cars. We found that there is no advantage in drilling a hole for ventilation. We would like however to take one of the cars complained of for oil leaks and carry out this one test, that is, drill a ventilation hole. We know where we can drill it conveniently. We therefore propose to arrange with Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} that this test should be carried out. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
