Liquid cooling radiator of an aircraft is formed as a series of units each preferably circular in shape. By making the radiator in this way the units can be housed in a wing for which purpose the radiator if made in one unit would be too large.

A Scraper piston ring has a number of axially projecting tongues stamped out which bear against wall of its groove or force a plain ring against such wall. Oil escapes through apertures formed by said stamped portions.
