DI/NO. [struck through] c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} [struck through] 200.B [handwritten] DMS [handwritten] H07 [handwritten] WRAITH 111 and BENTLEY 111 - SPRING LOADED THRUST PLUNGER FOR CAMSHAFT. Please receive herewith E.CD.402 Camshaft Spring Loaded Thrust Plunger - Wraith 111 and Bentley 111. The Experimental Department have already tried a similar scheme EX.29816 to reduce rattle in the timing gears, with some success, and the design E.CD.402 shows the proposed method of applying the scheme for future engines. The camshaft and the wheelcase are slightly altered to accommodate the plunger. Will you please detail and instruct this job experimentally as soon as possible. [Handwritten note below] GRY{Shadwell Grylls} - Mc S informs me DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} that attached scheme can be applied to camshafts already machined to the old drawing.
