Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}5/U1.9.24. -3- E.A.C. 111 Front Axle. That for a term of 12 months starting at any convenient date, they (Woodheads) to supply the clips and clip plate for all axle springs made by Firths for us and fitted by us in chassis on production. He added that if we are prepared to agree to this condition, and they (Firths) are willing to abide by same. I forthwith could send Firths traveller to see Mr. Woodhead. If you see no objection to agree to such condition, I would suggest the matter be submitted to Firths so that we know where we stand. It is possible Firths may decline to have anything to do with such an arrangement and it is only natural that they should defend their own clip, but if they would agree it would enable us to satisfy R.{Sir Henry Royce} Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} | ||
