RE "GOSHAWK" II CYLINDER HEAD.

We send you herewith drawing Lec.1332 giving details of the cylinder head rearranged for induction and exhaust pipes on the same side of the engine.

This drawing also shews the details of the valves, valve guides, valve springs and washers, rocker gear, valve gear cover, oil feed to valve gear, and the means of holding on the valve gear cover.

The valve gear cover is now held from the studs which carry the rocker bar pedestals, this being a simpler and lighter scheme than the original one shewn on drawing Lec.1314.

We would ask you to go over this drawing carefully, and compare it with the information you have previously received for "Goshawk II", as it has been necessary to move a some of the stuff to accommodate the new scheme.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
