To, Mr Hives.
Expt Dept.

Dear Sir,
Today we have been to Chambéry, just an ordinary run. It has been raining heavily all day and so we have not done any speed work or driving on mountain roads. I have fitted both spare wheels to the back of the car, because the ones we have been running on have no tread left and skidded rather badly on wet Tarmac. No complaints or criticisms from PN{Mr Northey} today re car.

PN{Mr Northey} mentioned today that we are due to leave here on Tuesday en route for Paris, and there to pick up the 20 HP Rolls which is at present in Chateauroux.

Mileage run today - 70 miles
Petrol used. - 35 Litres.
Car has been oiled all round today after 500 miles running.

Good Hyman.
30-6-29.
