To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} ys400 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/LG4.12.26. I should like to make it clear that I requested RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} that the luggage grid and spare wheel carrier on 7-EX should be enamelled. The reason for this was that the usual coachvarnish finish takes several days to complete, and we should not have time to carry this out. It was only yesterday that we realised that Sanderson & Holmes had got their plant working to give a cellulose finish which enables several coats to be put on in a very short time.
