OUR REF. M/C 1912. YOUR REF. 19th December 1922. Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., Nightingale Road, DERBY. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. Fowler Clark. With regard to the 12 volt B.D.T. Battery returned to us which did 11,000 miles on one of your cars, we have now had this in the laboratory and washed it out and taken a discharge. We obtained 6 amperes for 9.6 hours down to 1.8 volts per cell, which in our opinion, is not at all bad. There is however, one cell letting the battery down and if it is allowed to stand this cell gradually pulls it down and we should like to seek for the cause, but of course cannot do so without opening it up. We would be glad to have your instructions but suggest opening it up and giving you a report as to what we find. Awaiting the favour of your reply, Yours faithfully, PETO & RADFORD. C.R.N.
